A man from northwest suburban Roselle, in DuPage County,  faces a charge of misdemeanor animal cruelty after police said he sexually  abused his pet peacock.

David Beckman, 64, of the 600 block of East Devon Avenue, was charged with  the crime after police learned  the bird died while they were investigating Beckman about an alleged case of indecent  solicitation of a child.

Details surrounding the case with the peacock, reportedly  named Phyl, were unclear Friday, as investigators said it was part of the case  involving the child, the Daily Herald reported.

Court records confirmed Beckman faces three charges of  harassment by telephone, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts  of marijuana  possession, attempted indecent solicitation of a child, cruelty to  animals, and two counts of battery.

He remained in the DuPage County Jail on Friday on a  $10,000 bond. An arraignment was scheduled for June 12.

A man tried to run away from police in Florida but ended up running right into the jaws of an alligator!

The 20-year-old man got pulled over for swerving. He jumped out of the passenger door, broke through a fence and escaped.

But he was found at a hospital a few hours later after he got attacked by an alligator near a water treatment plant. He was being treated for multiple puncture wounds to the face, arm and armpit area.

He'll be in court soon.

A Florida woman threw an 8 inch kitchen knife at her boyfriend when he farted in her face while they were watching TV.

The 53-year-old boyfriend passed gas, and they began arguing.  She eventually tossed a knife.

She ran from the house after giving the man some minor wounds, but she was later caught by deputies.

She now faces a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and is being held on a $50,000 bond.

The Star Wars Kid was a 14-year-old kid wielding a makeshift light saber- imitating a Star Wars Jedi Knight.

The video was recorded while he was “goofing around” alone at his school’s TV club studio — the group had been working on a "Star Wars" parody and it was posted on the interent without his knowledge.

The video went viral.

The now 25-year-old explains:  “What I saw was mean. It was violent. People were telling me to commit suicide."

It was “a very dark period." He said, “No matter how hard I tried to ignore people telling me to commit suicide, I couldn’t help but feel worthless, like my life wasn’t worth living.”

He is now a law-school graduate and lives in Canada
