A guy in Fort Pierce, FL claims his invisibility is what helped him steal a carton of smokes… but his conscience forced him to bring it back.
The man walked inside a Walgreens store and told the cashier he had stolen a carton of cigarettes months ago. He said he was sorry, left his phone number and debit card, asked her not to call the cops, and then walked around the store for a bit. She, of course, called the cops and waited for them to show up.
The man told cops he had been inside the store a few months before on “street drugs” which let him become invisible.
He claims he used his new “powers of invisibility to pass through the counter and take a carton of Kool brand menthol cigarettes, undetected.”
The manager couldn’t get video of the theft and told cops she’d try to find archival footage to verify the crooks story.
He was given a trespass warning and taken off the property.
