A high school student in Staten Island, New York has been suspended for pointing out a teacher's lousy parking job in a tweet.

The student pointed out that the teacher parked near a “No Parking” sign and wrote, “I hope Mr. Pillarella gets towed.”

The teacher then replied, “You are over the line. Was this ever funny?  It’s not now.”

The student then tweeted back, “It’s only funny if you got towed.”

The teacher has since deleted all his messages from Twitter, but not before he had officials to suspend the student.

The student fired back at his school, "[T]hey violated so many rights it's insane. … DOE [Department of Education] employees are not to review any personal social media accounts created by their students, it says right in the rule book."

School officials would not confirm how long the boy will be suspended, but the principal has scheduled a meeting with him.
