An Ohio teacher is suing her school district, claiming the school forced her into early retirement-- because she has a phobia of children.
The high school French and Spanish teacher taught for decades in the district but was recently moved to the middle school level.
The woman was diagnosed with a rare kind of phobia that makes you extremely anxious and nervous around children, to the point where her blood pressure reaches dangerous levels. The teacher cleared this phobia with the school so she wouldn’t have to work below the high school grade level.
The school says they are trying to move to online-only language classes, so they moved the teacher down to the middle school instead of firing her.
