A North Carolina man was so distraught over the death of his 17 year old pet snake, he shot a cabinet that contained his Dale Earnhardt collection.
No one knows how the snake died. When police got to his house, the guy told them he shot it after it was dead, but they arrested him and charged him with killing it himself.
The 46-year-old also claimed he couldn't bury the snake because "the other animals would get him."
No word on the status of his Dale Earnhardt collection.
